Deep, Coarse Cut Surface Restorer Polish - New Formulation

from £12.00

Professional Surface Restorer

500g Bottle

Deep, Coarse Cut Surface Restorer Polish

High Quality Finishing Compound as used by tradesmen who need a product able to deliver that perfect finish.  This product very effectively removes oxidation, chalking and scratches that have not penetrated too deeply from paintwork, fibreglass, gel coats and GRP. Low ammonia formulation that is safe on all these surfaces.

It contains diminishing abrasive additives which means the particles of abrasive start off large, getting smaller the more you work with them, in effect lowering the cutting power over time. It also contains the highest grade of fillers and kaolin clays to help refine, restore and cleanse the vehicles paintwork. It acts as a abrasive to remove oxidation and restore finish and colour to tired and discoloured paint and gel coat surfaces.

This product is an aggressive coarse cut polish that is for the initial preparation of surfaces in poor condition, before you then move on to Medium and Fine polishes to add gloss.  It should be used with caution - as with all polishes if you go too hard with them it is possible to eventually wear through the paint or gel coat.

This product is for first stage preparation of a badly oxidised or scratched vehicle.  If your vehicle is not badly oxidised, start with our Medium Cut polish instead - see my other items.  If your vehicle is not really oxidised and just needs a final polish up, use our High Gloss polish instead of this one - see my other items.

You can use this deep cut polish on it's own, but most users follow up with Medium Cut and then High Gloss polish afterwards, prior to applying paint sealant or wax to protect the surface

Do not use Coarse or Medium grades on graphics (decals) - only use fine grade and go very carefully with a light polish, otherwise you risk damaging them.

Suitable for machine or hand polish. Note this product is sold by weight not volume - it is a 500 gram bottle that has some air space within it, this is deliberate.

Use Dry - No water is required, reducing splatter and clean up time

Option - Make the job easier, add our fantastic quality Polishing Cloths. Made by the company that invented microfibre in the 80's, we do not believe you will find better quality - add to your order for just £3 each.  They are machine washable and can be reused for years to come.

Perfect for polishing off, the Yellow Cloths are extremely thick, soft and plush - heavyweight 550gsm cloth, they can be laundered over 500 times - 40cm x 40cm size (just under 16" square) - no comparison to the cheap microfibres you'll see elsewhere, which are often only 200gsm weight or less

Laundering instructions for the cloths

Cloths are recommended to be washed at around 30-40 degrees for economy, but the quality is such that you can wash them at up to 95 degrees if required.  Slight shrinkage in the first few washes will happen. It's best not to use fabric softener/conditioner, it leaves a coating on the fabric and stops the microfibres from working as well as they should. They actively benefit from tumble drying - it opens up the fibres.  Unlike most cheap microfibres, the threads will not burn at higher temperatures
