These mugs are perfect for use in a caravan or motorhome, much nicer to drink from than plastic or melamine mugs. The tempering heat treatment process means they are tough and chip resistant. Does it mean they are impossible to break? No - but to give you an idea of just how tough they are, we have had a very similar set in our van for 12 years now, they have survived many family holidays with 3 young kids growing up to be teenagers, trekking all over Europe. They’ve had a hard life and still look as good as new.
Being glass and very smooth means that they are very easy to wash up. They won’t stain as easily as plastic or melamine can, they are like china mugs in this respect.
They are dishwasher safe and can be used in a microwave, unlike melamine.
Very similar to the well regarded “Corelle” brand items, but at a fraction of their price.
Mugs - 10.8cm (4 1/4”) high externally, 8.9cm (3 1/2”) external diameter at the rim, holds 300ml. Picture with a tin of beans is just to give an idea of scale.
The mugs are the same design as the plates and bowls but are more of a satin finish on the outside and have some texture to them, whilst being smooth gloss on the inside - the plates & bowls are gloss all over.
