Complete rafter pole deflapper set

Stop the ends of your awning flapping!  This set consists of 2 rafter poles and 4 clips to attach the awning fabric to them.

The rafter poles are an aluminium alloy, light and strong, and extend out in 3 sections to 2.5m long - which is long enough for the vast majority of awnings.  The sections simply twist to lock and unlock, they are very strong once locked and will not slide in again.  The shape of the awning front rail and the cassette box on the van itself are such that you extend the pole out until it grips into them - it doesn't have to be a hugely rigid grip, the shape of them means it cannot fall out, it just gives a support to attach the awing fabric to and stop it flapping.

Supplied with the poles are 4 clips (2 for each pole) with bungee cords attached - these clips are made from  glass reinforced nylon, very tough indeed, and they simply slide together to grip the awning fabric.  You then wind the bungee ball around the pole and back through itself to attach it.

Note that whilst this takes away the majority of the flapping, the awning fabric can still move against the support arms - but really if it's reached the point where the wind is such that it is flapping against these then you should have wound your awning in, better to be safe than sorry, wind can exert a huge amount of force under an awning - even if you've got our super strong ratchet strap tie downs fitted
